EL34 power tube yields classic British crunch

The Blackstar Artisan 10 AE packs an EL34 power tube. EL34s feature a pentode design and are at the epicenter of what’s referred to as the “British” amplifier sound. The EL34 is known for its strong mids and aggressive character and infuses the Artisan 10 AE with truckloads of warm British crunch. The Artisan 10 AE also features an ECC83 preamp tube, along with a built-in clean boost, so you can push the EL34’s light crunch into something a bit gnarlier.

A great platform for your dirt pedals

The Artisan 10 AE achieves a nice mid-gain crunch on its own, but when you push it with a dirt pedal, it’s pure magic. Add dimension to your playing with digital reverb

The Blackstar Artisan 10 AE is packed with a solid-sounding digital reverb. Turn it fully counterclockwise, and the reverb is deactivated, leaving room for external effects. Turn it fully clockwise, and experience a lush ambience that adds dimension to your playing without washing it out.
