Opening Show & Gear Rundown

Catch monda(e) live at City Music as they perform a seamless post-rock set followed by a gear rundown on their well-loved G&L guitars and Zoom pedals that gave them their defining tone.

monda(e) is an emerging four-piece instrumental band from Singapore, fusing the worlds of rock and ambient to create raw, energetic and immersive soundscapes to captivate the listening ear. Their music involves hints of math rock and unusual phrases that give it their signature, inimitable flavour.

ASEAN Guitar Collaboration 2024

This year, Lion City Stringer has brought together guitarists from all over the ASEAN community to collaborate on the ASEAN Guitar Compilation 2024, a video project showcasing the best rocking talents from all over the world. Featuring Danks Dernansky as a live guest performer, you wouldn’t wouldn’t wanna miss this medley of epic solos!

Founded by the visionary Amyr Abadawn, Lion City Stringer is a community built to unite and empower local guitarists in Singapore, regardless of genre. They proudly hold the Singapore Book of Records for the Largest Medley of Electric Guitar Music.

Amyr Abadawn (Exuism Records) is a renowned producer, composer, and music arranger who has expertise in metal music and works in other genres, including Mandopop.

Meet Subsonic Eye guitarists, Daniel Borces and Jared Lim, as they share on how their band came to be, as well as how they utilise gear to achieve their unique, dreamy sound.

Subsonic Eye is Singapore’s rising indie phenomenon recognised by fans internationally. Referring to their music as simply “guitar music”, the band owns a lush and distinct sound, having put out four critically-acclaimed full-length EPs.

Blackstar Tone Talk:

Addy Cradle, and Paul Danial will be demonstrating two different sides of Blackstar in an attempt to tackle the burning question: Which is better, analog or digital gear? To that, you be the judge.

Addy Cradle is one of Singapore’s most prestigious guitarists, known for his melodic chops that he has been mastering since age 10. He is also a singer, songwriter, composer, producer, and teacher.

Paul Danial is known for his flexiblity in all kinds of playing styles, boasting over 30 years of on-stage performing experience and credentials on 28 studio albums and recordings around Asia.

Epiphone Showcase by

Join Kenneth Kishandave, Brand Manager of Music Bliss, as he demonstrates some guitars from Epiphone‘s historically-rich brand, available at their versatile store in Selangor, Malaysia.

Music Bliss, having its humble beginnings in a mini store, has since expanded into the 4-storey Music Bliss Building. It comprises a retail showroom, guitar repair centre, as well as a service and warranty centre.

Kenneth Kishandave is a seasoned guitarist and performer. He delivers a dynamic blend of ballads, rock anthems, and blistering solos, and has established himself alongside renowned local musicians and artists.

Eugene Ng, Managing Director of Audiotonic, will be doing a demonstration on Warm Audio‘s many guitar pedals, which are faithful revivals of past iconic gear. He will also be covering strategies for getting great electric guitar recordings.

Warm Audio was birthed in Texas, 2011, and has since sought to deliver the sonic qualities of legendary analog gear to the modern world at an affordable price.

Eugene Ng is an experienced audio engineer who began his career in the music and audio industry in 2006. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to work on a diverse array of music projects, both as an engineer and a guitarist.

Listen to Wayne Lim as he brings us on a journey through his career as a luthier and gain some fruits of knowledge when it comes to handcrafting pickups from scratch.

A legend in Singapore’s guitar scene, Wayne Lim is Luthier.sg’s acclaimed “Master Luthier” and has grown up in the woodworking environment since eight years old.

FGN & Revival Guitars Showcase

Witness the beauty and craftsmanship of their Japan-made FGN guitars and exclusive Revival Guitars with Scott Lee from Sound Alchemy, a guitar shop nestled within the iconic basement of Peninsula Shopping Centre.

Scott Lee is a seasoned player with 18 years of experience in the musical instruments industry. A maker and tinkerer, he enjoys crafting his own effects pedals, amps and even winding custom pickups, eventually founding his very own Revival Guitars.

Smash Pop Junkie will be demonstrating the essentials of recording and creating content for your very own songs or covers at home, for all budgets and skill levels alike. Featuring Michael Kelly guitars and Blackstar POLAR 2 and POLAR 4 interfaces, you’ll learn that recording guitar doesn’t have to be as difficult as it seems.

Smash Pop Junkie, formerly known as Guitar Junkie TV, is a YouTube channel dedicated to guitar covers, exploring everything guitar-related and entertaining audiences since 2013.

“Never Too Early, Never Too Late.” Listen in as Jai Dzafir shares about the academy’s story and the high-quality guitar courses that they are offering.

Academy of Rock is set on their vision to make popular music a staple in current music education. Their mission is to create a progressive, inclusive environment for people of all ages, backgrounds and learning abilities.

Jai Dzafir began his musical journey at the age of 13 and has performed for regional music pop artists like Judika, Siti Nurhaliza, Rahimah Rahim and many more. He is a multi-instrumentalist who is fluent in the bass guitar, and has attained various music accreditations as a music educator.

Paoletti Guitars Showcase by Jon Koh

This event, Jon Koh will be sharing his love and camaraderie for the Italian-made Paoletti Guitars, the makers of his gorgeous signature Nancy Lounge HSP90.

Jon Koh professionally entered the music industry at age 24. Ever since then, he has taken many roles as a session guitarist, recording engineer, producer, songwriter and music arranger, and has collaborated with a myriad of Taiwanese and local artistes — Sky Wu, Eric Moo and Dick Lee to name a few.

My Musical Journey with the Electric Guitar and Amps by Patrick Chng

Join Patrick Chng as he recalls his early days as a budding musician with his Gibson Nighthawk Standard. Venture with him and find out how he eventually got himself into the world of guitar tone and tube amplifiers such as his later-owned Orange AD15 and VOX Night Train 15 which have served him well through all sorts of gigs.

Patrick Chng is a Singapore-born musician who has been active for the past 30 years. He has significantly contributed to the local scene as a member of bands The Oddfellows, TypeWriter and The Fast Colors.
