One word to describe the Audio Technica’s flagship handheld condenser: amazing!
This cost less the premium neumann/shure condensers but it is one of the best sounding stage condensers. The only con is the sensitivity is quite high but that is compensated with the -10 db pad switch you can turn on which will increase the Sound pressure level higher and lower the sensitivity. It also has a highpass filter switch to reduce lower frequencies. Its frequency reponse is akin to a neuman kms105 (20 – 20k Hz) and has a large diapragm element.
Great functionality and fantastic sound. It is basically a AT4050 in a handheld version. This is a gem.
