Launch Your Visual Projects Into Hyperdrive
Whether you’re working with signage, monitoring live camera setups, or archiving critical video files, the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR can easily manage all your heavy-load video projects. With native 8K resolution capability and several I/O possibilities, the HyperDeck provides compatibility with nearly any device, from legacy formats such as VHS to more contemporary high-fidelity streams. Dual CFast media are capable of swapping out anytime, even as another card records, allowing nearly infinite-length recordings through a mobile media option. Likewise, recording directly to an external USB-C media disk is no issue, ensuring faster transfer to and from your physical data. Additional striking features include 10G Ethernet support, compatibility with several popular video software, RS-422 control, and a wide-gamut LCD with variable language settings. Take it from the A/V experts here at City Music: there’s virtually no visual barrier that the HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR can’t break through — order yours today and test its limits for yourself.
Incredibly versatile I/O
The I/O possibilities onboard the HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR are formidable. Analog inputs, time code support, dual-channel analog audio, USB-C, and more possibilities are available under the hood, ready to accommodate nearly any visual setup you decide to work with. This doesn’t exclude older gear, either. Thanks to the Hyperdeck’s RS-422 broadcast deck compatibility and flexible analog video inputs, recording and archiving from older formats such as VHS and DVDs is a walk in the park.
Easy-to-read LCD controls
The first thing you’ll notice about the HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR is it’s spacious, wide-gamut LCD. Handling up to the latest HDR workflows, the touchscreen provides simple use of the HyperDeck’s most valuable features, including time-code information, video standard settings, media status control, and built-in scopes. Plus, a mini timeline appearing during use allows you to scroll through recordings, jog, and pinpoint exact frames within your productions. Conversely, the HyperDeck can be controlled via a pre-existing HyperDeck Extreme controller or legacy device, thanks to onboard RS-422 support.
Up to Native 8K video standard support
Support with the most popular video standards on the HyperDeck Extreme ensures extensive compatibility and unmatched transfer qualities. The HyperDeck’s SDI and HDMI connections are multi-rate, managing SD, HD, Ultra HD, and 8K resolutions. Likewise, supported SD formats include both NTSC and PAL. At its peak, the HyperDeck can manage standards up to Native 8K.
Extend your options with Ethernet connectivity
With 10G Ethernet connectivity onboard the HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR, you’ll benefit from incredibly fast data upload speeds. It is so fast, in fact, that the HyperDeck’s Ethernet upload speed is more rapid than onboard CFast card transfer speeds. Additionally, when the Ethernet protocol is used in tandem with FTP and USB-C disk arrays, the HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR becomes an excellent addition to broadcasting scenarios, providing excellent ingest, media management, and play-out operation.
Use with your favorite video software
Need to take your product to the editing table? No problem: the HyperDeck Extreme 4K HDR’s exported files are compatible with most popular video software. Should your software require other file formats, however, the HyperDeck Extreme can reformat your files using ExFAT or HFS+ so you can access your media just as easily as before. City Music recommends utilizing Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve software — not only does it work straight away with your HyperDeck, but it’s also provided free of charge on nearly all Mac, Windows, and Linux devices.
