City Music in collaboration with Shure and Electronics & Engineering are proud to present the Shure Vocal Championship Singing Competition!

Your favourite artists have all used Shure microphones in some way, be it on the stage or in the studio to record their songs. This year, with the brand celebrating 100 years, we want to bring the celebration to you! With over $2.5K worth of prizes to be won (full info below), you won’t want to miss this!

Plus, the final 3 will get a spot on our live stage in our finals at an upcoming event in November, so stay tuned.

Join The Legacy

From now till Friday 24th October 2359…
1. Film a short video (phone footage acceptable) between 45s – 60s of yourself singing a cover/original. Please note that we are ONLY accepting ENGLISH songs for this competition
2. Post it to TikTok/Instagram
3. Tag @shure & @citymusicsg
4. Use the hashtag #ShureVocalChampionship
5. Upload the link of your post to our Google Forms for your submissions to be counted & showcased on our website competition page for people to vote*

Qualifiers will be notified on Tuesday 28th October, so keep your DMs open!

*Voting will be split between the public and our judging panel

Whether you make it to the top 3 or even to the qualifying stage, there’s something for everyone! Here are the prizes:

1. Participation in the Shure x City Music Vocal Championship 2025 is open to residents of Singapore aged 13 years and above, and all entries must be original video recordings of the participant’s own voice and performance, with no use of another creator’s audio, vocals, or recordings.
2. Employees and staff affiliated with City Music, Electronics & Engineering, or Shure Incorporated are ineligible to participate.
3. Only English-language songs will be accepted, and each submission must have a duration of not less than 45 seconds and not more than 60 seconds.
4. By entering, participants agree that City Music Co Pte Ltd, Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd, and Shure Incorporated reserve the right to use, reproduce, edit, and distribute submitted content, including names, likenesses, and recordings, for marketing, publicity, and future promotional purposes without additional compensation.
5. Qualification will be based on solely vocal performances only, and the judging process will be carried out by City Music, Shure Incorporated, and Electronics & Engineering-appointed judges with decisions deemed final and binding, alongside public voting where applicable.
6. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash, and City Music vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issue for Shure products only.
7. The organisers reserve the right to amend, substitute, or cancel prizes, update competition dates, or withdraw the Competition at their sole discretion without prior notice.
8. City Music and Electronics & Engineering shall not be held responsible for incomplete entries, technical errors, or circumstances beyond their control. By participating, entrants agree to abide by all instructions and rules set by the organisers, and consent to the collection and use of personal data strictly for the administration of the Competition in accordance with City Music’s Privacy Policy.
